It’s all Fillers and no Killers at The Bungalow

-

The Killers have been putting in some great headline performances this year.

If you, like me, could only catch some of it on TV why not get down to The Bungalow tonight and enjoy a tribute to the internationallyacclaimed Las Vegas group by The Fillers?

They are one of only a few tribute acts to The Killers around and they stand out as they have the energy and feel to create the atmosphere that will make you feel like you are watching the real thing.

It’s going to be a great night for Killers fans, bouncing about to tracks like All These Things I’ve Done, Human, Mr Brightside, When You Were Young and more. The gig starts at 7.30pm and tickets are £11.

Tomorrow night at The Bungalow it is the turn of Roxy Magic, who are the UK’s best and longest-running tribute to Roxy Music and Bryan Ferry.

This is what they say about them: “Wow!” - Bryan Ferry. “Awesome” - Otis Ferry.

“It took a long time for there to be a Roxy tribute band; there is one now and it’s very good.” - Roxy Music’s Andy Mackay (Ken Bruce Show BBC Radio 2)

Chris Evans was quoted as saying: “There’s only one Bryan Ferry, but if there were two the other one would be Kevin Hackett… absolutely brilliant band!”

Roxy Magic recreate live material that spans four decades, from futurist/nostalgic art rock, through to classic standards to sophisticated rock.

Their aim is to give the audience a fabulously entertaining evening.

Very high quality musicianship and a wonderful Bryan Ferry look and soundalike in the form of singer Kevin Hackett, combine to do just that.

It starts at 8pm and tickets are £11 on the door.

The Cave has Vintage Vinyl from 6pm and at 9pm it is The Tommy Bentz Band.

Tommy is looking forward to playing there, saying: “We are so excited to be back at The Cave.

“Jen and the crew are so wonderful, and we can’t wait to jam for their great crowds.

“This will be one of the last shows of our 2019 UK tour-part 1.”

The band is a power trio that has been in existence for over 15 years and jams in the style of “the Allman Brothers meets Van Morrison”.

Amazing musicians in their own right - featuring one of the Midwest’s finest slide guitar players - the guys have five original albums and a live DVD and CD in their arsenal, and boast unique covers from Cream/ Clapton, The Band, SRV, The Beatles, etc.

TBB tours regionally, has toured overseas for over ten years and will be competing in the International Blues Challenge in Memphis in January, 2020.

The fantastic Nightfly are back on Sunday for another impressive set loaded with great songs for you at 6pm.

The Old Swan have Trunk Monkey in tonight from 8pm then playing in the shoppers’ slot tomorrow from 4pm is a live band TBA.

The Casual Swans are back in their residential slot at 3pm on Monday then on Wednesday Drty Luv are on from 6pm.
