Sean will make sure the talent keeps coming through at Bishopton
Bishopton Rugby Club has confirmed Sean Callaghan will take up the position of club development officer.
The Holmpark club is building for the new season both on and off the park as it bids to embark on a successful campaign.
A club spokesman said: “We are absolutely delighted to announce that Sean Callaghan will be taking the role of our part time development officer for this season.
“Sean will work with Park Mains High School and our local catchment primary schools, to help grow and develop our junior section. Sean will also help by delivering coaching education to our junior coaches.
“He has a BSc in Sports Development BSc, working towards Honours, and has worked previously as a sessional coach with Renfrewshire Leisure.
“Sean has recently joined Premiership team GHA having previously played five years at Whitecraigs in National 2 and under- 18 level.”
Meanwhile, Bishopton have confirmed the return of their junior rugby section – starting tomorrow.
A club spokesman added: “We look forward to seeing a lot of familiar faces next week of our returning players and we hope to see some new ones too!
“We are always looking for new players for this growing section of our club. Look for new exciting news on this, later this week.
“Whether your children have played rugby before or are looking to try something new for the first time everyone is welcome.”
Micro (aged P1) start from 11am, while Mini (P2-P7) starts at noon.
