Cops launch hunt for wellie-wearing flasher

-

A wellie- wearing creep exposed himself to shocked passers- by in the heart of Paisley.

Police last night revealed the weirdo flashed commuters and shoppers in the town’s County Square around 5pm on Monday.

They describe the creep as wearing a blue jacket, black jogging trousers and black wellies.

He made off in the direction of Moss Street following the incident.

Cops are scouring CCTV images from the area and quizzing local business owners.

Chief Inspector Dougie Falconer, area commander for Paisley, told the Paisley Daily Express it appears to be an isolated incident, but is appealing for the public’s help to snare the man.

He said: “This was clearly a distressing incident for the victims we have already spoken to.

“It is possible there may have been other people affected and I would urge them to get in contact with officers as soon as possible if they have not already done so.”

He added: “I would also like to reassure members of the public that this appears to have been an isolated, one-off incident.

“We are carrying out a wide range of enquiries to identify the male responsible.

“If you have CCTV in or around the County Square area of Paisley, I would ask that you check to see if it has captured anything of note. Similarly, if you were driving in the area around the time I’d also ask you to check dash cam footage.”
