Colin Bellshaw has tipped Kash Farooq to become the best boxer to ever walk through his doors.

The Renfrewshir Renfrewshire Boxing Gym boss was in Faroo Farooq’s corner as the 23-year-old triu triumphed where countless others h have failed as he clinched the L Lonsdale Belt outright on Saturd Saturday night.

A devastating first- round knockout of Engl English scrapper Duane Winters sealed his third defence of the British Bantamweight title titl in stunning fashion in front of a packed crowd at Glasgow’s Radis Radisson Blu.

Farooq’s success has been built at the Johnstone gym and under the watchful eye of trainer Craig Dickson and Bellshaw.

Having worked with and trained a number of champion boxers, including Paisley’s own Kevin McIntyre, Bellshaw knows a thing or two about potential.

But he reckons Farooq could trump the lot if he can continue the upward trajectory that has seen him quoted as a future world champion.

Bellshaw told Express Sport: “I have no problem saying that Kash has got the lot.

“I think that he can go all the way in the game, he can genuinely go right to the very top of boxing.

“He’s already up there with some of the very best. He is in the category as one of the best in the world – he might not be world elite – but he could get there too.

“I would say that he is the best I have worked with and I don’t say that lightly. He has the star qualities and he is beginning to show them to everybody.

“Kash doesn’t have any flaws. “What Kash achieved the other night is a massive achievement and can’t be understated. Very few people have won that belt outright.

“He now has something that no one can ever take away from him. Whatever he goes on to achieve in boxing, no one can take that Lonsdale belt away from him.

“Many have tried to do it, especially very few Scottish
