performances will be held on Saturday afternoons.

The ambitious programme will see 250 live musics events every year.

Tommy and Alan promise a varied line-up, giving a chance to all those who deserve it.

A series of big names have already been booked to play – including Toploader, Tom McGuire and the Brass Holes, The Christians and Bombskare.

Bosses says the revitalised venue can help draw music fans into Paisley from neighbouring towns.

Alan says the programme will be filled with headline bookings and up-and-comers.

He said: “It’s all about the journey for the musicians.

“Tommy helps young people interested in music and puts them into bands.

“They come to Brick Lane to rehearse and record.

“And they have the Bungalow where they can get on stage and play for their family and friends.

“There is no shortage of talent in this town. We just need to give them somewhere to go.

“We want to work with and nurture the next generation of performers and help them on their way.

“It’s very important for us to have a venue that could benefit young musicians under 18.

“This is what drives the music industry.

“We felt that a social enterprise was the way forward to keep the name of The Bungalow going for ever in the town.

“It is important to us that everyone can get access to and benefit from this iconic live venue.

“We plan to have live music on every night from young local bands to as big an artist as we can get. It will also be a place for young technicians to get a real hands-on live experience operating lights, sound or even organising events.

“We are redesigning the place with a view to capture the history and atmosphere of The Bungalow of the past.”

The Bungalow relaunches tonight with a performance by The Republic of Soul.
