New Range store set for fun-filled unveiling
The new The Range superstore will be officially unveiled this morning — with an action-packed day of fun ahead.
The furniture and homeware shop has created more than 80 full and part-time jobs, from store and department managers to warehouse workers and retail assistants.
Provost Lorraine Cameron will officially open the store at Renfrew Road Retail Park, in Wallneuk Road, at 9am.
Staff and shop fit teams have been working around the clock to get the store ready for the big reveal.
Customers can choose from a wide variety of products across 16 departments, including DIY, kitchen and dining, arts and crafts and seasonal.
It will also include an Iceland foods store, outdoor garden centre and café.
The grand opening will begin with giveaways for the first 50 people in the queue, including a star prize for the first in line.
A team from Radio Clyde will be on site running a competition for a £ 250 Range gift card and there will be also opening offers running across departments until Saturday, September 29.
This weekend there will also be craft demos from 10am until 4pm on Saturday, face painting from 11am until 4pm and a Trimcraft demo on Sunday from 11am until 4pm.
Founder of The Range Chris Dawson said: “Each store plays an important part in the success of our company and Paisley is no exception.
“This site has been on the radar for some time and we are delighted to bring a new national retailer to the town, particularly with it being a new build which has brought many benefits to the local economy.
“We are very lucky with the staff we have and I look forward to welcoming the new team members to the company.
“I would like to invite the local community to join us for today’s opening and discover the fantastic selection of products that we offer.”
