Three of the best team up for mega rock tour
Green Day, Fall Out Boy and Weezer to play Glasgow
Three of the biggest acts in rock music — Green Day, Fall Out Boy and Weezer — announced they will be going out on the road together for the first time ever _ and they’re coming to Glasgow.
The three bands will play Bellahouston Park on June 24 as part of their Hella Mega Tour.
It is set to be a big event with the global mega stars and will see Green Day perform almost a decade to the day since they last played in the city’s SEC in June 2010, and in the 30th anniversary year of releasing their first album.
The huge outdoor show will get summer started in the same park as the Summer Sessions Festival, with a similar stage and layout.
With three of the biggest acts in rock music set to make their return to Glasgow, the show will be an unmissable part of Scotland’s summer of live music.
In celebration of the announcement, all three artists are also thrilled to announce new singles which will be a first taste of their respective forthcoming albums.
Five-time Grammy Award-winning Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees Green Day unleash their brand new single Father Of All which is the lead track on their forthcoming thirteenth studio album of the same name, out February 7.
Multi-platinum selling, Grammy Award nominated Fall Out Boy’s new single Dear Future Self (Hands Up) ft. Wyclef Jean will be featured on their forthcoming record Greatest Hits: Believers Never Die - Volume Two, out November 15 via Island Records.
While multi- platinum, Grammy award- winning Weezer’s new single The End of the Game, produced by Suzy Shinn, will be included on their forthcoming 14th studio album, entitled Van Weezer, due out in May 2020.
To celebrate the tour reveal, all three bands performed a show this week at the legendary Whisky A Go Go in Los Angeles.
