Music is the best medicine

-

I read this week that a GP has called for fellow doctors to prescribe singing as an alternative to medicine.

The doctor claims he sees patients less often if they join a singing group or a choir than his other patients.

I have written before about music therapy being used successfully in care homes for dementia patients.

Some medical professionals say singing can also help people with Parkinson’s disease.

Well, I’m off to my doctor to see if I can get some karaoke at Kennedy’s on prescription!

Tonight , The Bungalow are calling all singers and musicians to come along and celebrate the opening of the new look Bungalow Community Interest Company with an open stage party from 7pm until late

It is free entry, so get down early to book your spot with host Cat Caldwell.

All performers will get a free drink. Tomorrow night Hells Bells, the UK’s top AC/DC tribute band are in Paisley for the first time.

They have performed all over the UK and Europe.

If you love AC/DC then you’ll love their high energy performance.

On Thursday it is indie night with a three band line-up starting with No Preference who are an up and coming, energetic six piece band from Renfrewshire.

The Cave’s weekend looks like this: Moonshine Mojo play tomorrow night at 6pm followed by Blues Mama at 9pm.
