In a bid to ensure employees are healthy and happy both within the workplace and in their personal lives, the charity has provided the staff with benefits that encourage them to stay active, maintain a balanced diet and promote the same lifestyle for the young people they care for, according to Kibble.

Kibble CEO Jim Gillespie said: “Our staff spend their time working with young people who have faced adversity or trauma, so the nature of the work while very rewarding, can also be challenging.

“We’re delighted to have been shortlisted for this award, which reflects our commitment to ensuring our team are supported with both their physical and mental health and wellbeing, which in turn has a positive knock- on impact for our young people.”

Kibble has a regular Wellbeing Working Group that aims to ensure healthy and active initiatives are in place and recently hosted a Health and Wellbeing week.

The wellness event included information sessions on the crisis counselling available to all staff, in addition to a talk from Kibble’s physiotherapist, and further information on access to the extensive health and wellbeing benefits at Kibble such as health MOTs.

All staff members have a free gym membership, saving each employee over £400 per year.

In addition, staff also have access to a physiotherapist free of charge, and are provided with a free meal each working day.

Kibble says it is committed to supporting employees with their mental health and offers free counselling to all team members. It also runs a psychological first aid course which is open to all staff.
