Can you help new bid to cut suicides?
People in Renfrewshire who have lived experience of suicide are being urged to get involved with a new suicide prevention panel.
Scottish Association for Mental Health ( SAMH) is promoting the new National Suicide Prevention: Lived Experience Panel - which will provide an important platform for people with lived experience of suicide to share their valuable insights and experiences.
Those involved will work alongside members of the Scottish Government ’s National Suicide Prevention Leadership Group.
Those who have previously attempted suicide, experienced suicidal thoughts, or have lost a loved one to suicide are encouraged to apply to be on the panel.
Billy Watson, chief executive of SAMH, said: “SA SAMH has a long history of supporting people and families affected by suicide.
“We have c campaigned vigorously to e ensure anyone affected by suicide can get effective su support now and in th the future, and we believe that services which are shaped by the h people who use th them will deliver the be best results.
“That’ s why we we’re so pleased to be supporting the de development of a Liv Lived Experience Pan Panel.
“It’s a great op opportunity for peo people who want to help make a difference to thousands of peop people’s lives.
