Jon: I’ll give club my best years
Hitman Jon Obika believes St Mirren will get the best years of his career.
The 29-year-old striker has bagged 12 goals since gaffer Jim Goodwin brought him to the club on a two-year deal in August last year.

He said:“At St Mirren, I just got a good feeling about the place right away.
“I feel like one of the main players in this team and it has been a while since I felt like that in my career.

“I believe in what I can do, but, ultimately, I have to show it on the pitch.”

The scheme is already being used by other Scottish clubs, including Celtic and Rangers.
The Paisley club have announced t ha t the government initiative, which pays up to 80 per cent of staff members’ wages at a maximum of £2,500 a month, will be topped up by the club - meaning nobody goes without their full pay.
In a statement, St Mirren also announced that season tickets will be put on sale earlier than usual – on Monday.
The statement read: “The cancellation of football during this terrible crisis seems like a small thing when an increasing number of people are dying daily from coronavirus.
