Jubilant Saints reclaim the Renfrewshire Cup
Paul Behan of the right-hand post after Caldwell played him in, before O’Ware let fly from 30 yards but his shot flew off target.
Former Saint Joe McKee forced an important save from Kello, connecting with David McNeil’s cutback but the visiting keeper got down well to make a one-handed save.
Saints looked to have found some of their rhythm as they enjoyed the lion’s share of possession and Wylde let fly with a shot that Caraux could only parry away with his fists.
Substitute McNeil got the better of Mevlja on the right side of the penalty box but his effort to the near post deflected off Yaqub for a corner.
Saints got on the scoresheet after 76 minutes, and what a well-worked goal it was.
Wylde played a perfectly disguised pass to Yaqub and the youngster picked out Marwood on the edge of the box.
The Geordie played in Wylde, who continued his run. Wylde then played it across the face of goal and defender Naismith was there 10 yards out to drive low and into the right-hand corner.
Towards the end, Marwood tried his luck with am ambitious shot from way out on the left, a fizzing, swerving effort that dipped wide of the left-hand post.
