RYAN STABBED AND LEFT FOR DEAD
FEARS THAT MURDERED MAN’S BODY LAY FOR DAYS
Paisley murder victim Ryan Low was stabbed and left for dead in his flat.
It’s feared the 32-year-old was left for days before his body was discovered within his home in Springbank Road on June 29.
The last reported sighting of Ryan before he was murdered was on the evening of June 24.
Detectives are now combing through CCTV as part of their investigation to piece together his final days.
Forensics teams also continued their search of the street near to the flat in Shortroods this week in a bid to find clues.
Officers have spent days scouring the street, searching in bins and drains beside the top floor flat where he was
found.
Floral tributes to the tragic football fan could be seen lining the fence outside the property.
His heartbroken sister Danielle Low led tributes to him online as heartfelt messages flooded social media.
She set up a memorial page for her brother, who was originally from Edinburgh, which has seen hundreds of friends and family share photos and memories of the lifelong Hibs fan.
The official Hi b s Supporters Club, which has almost 9,000 members - also shared a tribute to Ryan yesterday, while scarves and flowers were also laid out at the Edinburgh club.
It reads: “Our thoughts are with the friends and family of Ryan Low at this most difficult time. His memory marches on.”
Detectives investigating the murder are now urging anyone who may have any information, or who had been in contact with him in the days leading up to his death, to speak up.
Detective Chief Inspector Gillian Grant, of the Major Investigation Team (West), said: “Extensive police inquiries are ongoing at this time.
“Officers are gathering CCTV footage from the surrounding area to provide more information that will help us trace the person or persons responsible, and door-to-door inquiries are being carried out.
“I would ask anyone who was in the Springbank Road area of Paisley over the past few days and who may have seen or heard a disturbance, witnessed any strange activity or anyone acting out of character to please get in touch with us.
“I am also keen to hear from anyone who may have had any contact with Ryan recently.
“We have a reported sighting of Ryan on the evening of Wednesday June 24. Anyone who has any information which might help us in this investigation, or who may have seen or spoken with Ryan recently is asked to call us on 0141 305 4530.”
