RYAN MURDER PROBE COPS HUNT TWO MEN

- DAVID CAMPBELL

Two mystery men were spotted lurking close to the Paisley flat where tragic Ryan Low was stabbed and left for dead.

Detectives revealed the suspicious pair were in Springbank Road around the time they believe the 32-year-old was murdered.

They also confirmed Ryan’s

body lay undiscovered in his Shortroods flat for four days after his death.

Police probing the grim find say Ryan, who is originally from Edinburgh, was most likely killed between 4.30am and 6am on Thursday, June 25.

A major investigation was launched when he was found on June 29.

Officers spoke to more than 60 people in the street as they revisited the scene exactly two weeks after he was killed in a bid to jog the memories of people who may have been in the area at the time of his death.

Detective Chief Inspector Gillian Grant of the Major Investigation Team (West) said: “The response from the public has been very encouraging and information gained today and over the last week or so has established that two men were seen in the Springbank Road area around the time we believe that Ryan was murdered

– between 4.30 and 6 am on Thursday, June 25.

“I am also still keen to hear from anyone who may have had any contact with Ryan recently or anyone who has any information which might help us in this investigation.”

“Anyone with any information should cont a c t p o l i c e v i a telephone number 0141 305 4530 quoting incident number 1150 of 29 June 2020 or anyone with any CCTV, mobile phone, dashcam or any other footage that they think would assist the enquiry are asked to get in touch with officers.”

Specialist forensics teams scoured the street in the days following Ryan’s death searching for anything which could lead them to his killers.

His heartbroken sister Danielle Low led tributes to him online as heartfelt messages flooded social media.

She set up a memorial page for her brother, which has seen hundreds of friends and family share photos and memories of the lifelong Hibs fan.

The official Hibs Supporters Club, which has almost 9,000 members - also shared a tribute to Ryan yesterday, while scarves and flowers were also laid out at the Edinburgh club.
