Young dancers from around Renfrewshire have been learning new skills thanks to weekly lockdown challenges.

Kids from the Karen E Moir Renfrew Dance School have been taking part in Zoom calls and watching pre-recorded lessons to stay entertained while classes have been cancelled.

Artistic director Karen believes lockdown has been an opportunity for the youngsters to hone their talents.

She said:“We’ve been trying to keep the kids occupied so have set lots of different challenges.

“It’s been hard work coming up with new routines every week but we saw this as an opportunity for the kids to learn new skills. They’ve all been improving and it’s been the best we could manage until we can get back into some proper venues again.

“We’re looking at setting up some boot camps in the park now that lockdown is easing and, fingers crossed, it won’t be too long until we’ve got all our classes back up and running again.”
