Get fit while helping hospice
St Vincent’s Hospice is appealing for fundraisers to Step Up this September.
The much-loved Howwood facility has lost a lot of its income from fundraising events that had to be cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
So it’s asking people to take on a sponsored fitness challenge this month to help provide vital care for people in the community who need it most.
Fundraising manager for St Vincent’s Hospice, Carol-Anne Lamont, said:“The last six months have been surreal and challenging for us all.
“With events and fundraising challenges cancelled or put on hold indefinitely, this month we need you to step up for local care, and take on a fitness challenge for our hospice.
“Can you walk 5k every day? Are you ready to tackle a munro? Just looking to get fit and need a reason to finally start going those runs before work?
“This is your opportunity to get fit and give some vital support and funds to your local hospice.”
Fundraising packs and support are available by calling the fundraising department on 01505 705 635 or emailing Info@svh.co.uk
Carol-Anne added: “Every penny raised makes such a difference to local families going through some of the hardest times in their life, and no challenge is too small.
“So, please, if you’re looking to get back in shape after a long lockdown, do it for us.”
St Vincent’s Hospice is a specialist provider of Hospice and palliative care for patients and families in Renfrewshire who are affected by life-limiting conditions.
