Artistic Steve is a roaring success...
A talented artist who has transformed his back garden into an ever- changing gallery has completed a toothy mural to add to his collection.
Steve Blackmore, who paints under the name Bmore Sketchy, has created this giant detailed painting of a Tyrannosaurus Rex at his home in Houston.
Steve, who is well known throughout Renfrewshire for his murals, has spent the past few months painting various murals to hone his skills and practice different styles during lockdown.
From jungle scenes and cartoon monsters to a touching tribute to NHS workers on the frontline during the pandemic, Steve created a number of stunning pieces.
And his latest painting – which he has dubbed Timmy the T-Rex – has inspired him to create his own YouTube channel to document the pieces he creates.
Posting on his Facebook, Steve said: “After the recent popularity with my mural videos I decided to take the leap and start a YouTube channel.
“I’m not really one for talking in front of the camera but I love what I do and hopefully those who watch the videos enjoy watching the process. I’ll be making a point of creating videos of each mural and will constantly push myself in my abilities and styles.
“I’ve thoroughly enjoyed filming and editing the videos recently and will hopefully pick up some tips and tricks as I do more.
“I’d also like to thank each and everyone of you for all the likes, shares and encouraging comments on my work as it’s your support that gives me the drive to keep improving and doing what I do .”
Steve, who also works as a tree surgeon, is no stranger to success, with examples of his work on display throughout the area including Food Forty Six on Paisley High Street and also at Lamont Farm in Erskine.
The 32- year-old also painted a colourful mural of a hummingbird and a kingfisher on the side of Corseford School in Johnstone to complement the school’s new interactive sensory garden.
Steve said he was delighted to get involved and paint the mural for free after hearing the school was looking for someone to add a splash of colour to the building.
