Covidiot’s sickening threats to cops’ children

-

A vile Covidiot spat at and threatened to “rape”cops and their families following a street fight.

Patrick Muldoon, 20, even claimed he had Covid-19 and gobbed saliva and blood at officers called out to a disturbance.

Paisley Sheriff Court heard Muldoon was arrested at Buchanan Way, Johnstone, at around 4.25am on April 27 following complaints about a rammy.

However, the lout flipped out, vowing he was going to“rape”officers and their children,“kill”them,“bite off their faces,” and even bragged he had the“virus” during the rampage.

Procurator fiscal depute Frankie Morgan told the court:“Police witnesses attended the locus following reports of three males fighting in the street, one of whom was wearing red clothing.

“Officers observed Muldoon wearing a red T-shirt and black tracksuit bottoms.

“He was with a second male dressed in dark clothing.

“Both males ran away. Police gave chase and apprehended Muldoon.

“Muldoon had several injuries, including a burst nose, a cut to his index finger and marks around his rib cage.

“He told police had been fighting with several males.”

The prosecutor added that Muldoon immediately became violent and aggressive when he was being arrested, refusing to go in the police vehicle and threatening officers.

Mr Morgan added:“He attempted to headbutt one of the officers.

“He then began spitting at officers. Blood and saliva hit one of the officer’s hands.

“The accused said,‘When these cuffs come off, I am going to bite your f****** face off.’

“‘I am going to kill you,’‘I am going to rape you, your wife and your kids.’

“‘I am going to rape you, you cow.’”

The fiscal added the threats included Muldoon saying,“You are all getting the virus, I have Covid and you are getting it”.

Muldoon who was taken into custody at Govan Police Station, however, he did not have Covid-19, nor was he displaying symptoms of the virus, despite making the threats against police.

He appeared from custody for sentencing after pleading guilty to charges of causing public disorder, police assault, making threats that he had Covid, coughing and spitting at officers, threatening to kill police and threatening to rape officers and their families.

A defence agent said Muldoon had only been released from HMP Polmont in March following a previous sentence and had been staying with a friend in Johnstone, when he got involved in the disturbance.

He said:“He was heavily intoxicated when the events took place.

“He had been victim of an assault that night and he accepts he committed the offences that have been narrated.

“It was early in the lockdown when he was released and he understands the serious nature of these offences.”

Sheriff Seith Ireland told Muldoon there was only one option for him and that was custody.

He handed him 15 months behind bars, telling him:“This was appalling behaviour and comments directed at police officers who were only trying to deal with you.”
