Welcoming the Lanarkshir­e side to Mossedge in Linwood for their first pre-season friendly, the hosts started brightly, but went behind after Motherwell’s first attack ended in a corner, from which the visitors pounced to take the lead. Bishopton restored parity when a long ball from defence was lat latched onto by Laura Inglis and she showed no signs of ring rust, ma making no mistake to slot home a le leveller.

Motherwell went ahead again wh when rustiness from another co corner was capitalise­d on and fir fired home by the visitors.

After the break, Bishopton eq equalised again when Inglis burst th through the Motherwell defence an and curled the ball brilliantl­y into th the top corner.

A fantastic flowing move saw B Bishopton move ahead when

Jenny McMahon was set up superbly by Inglis before firing a sensationa­l strike over the keeper and into the net via the woodwork.

Motherwell equalised again when another defensive mistake by Bishopton let a ‘Well striker drift behind the lines and chip beautifull­y over the host’s keeper.

As the topsy turvy game continued, Bishopton took the lead late on when Lois Stuart played Naomi Clark Granger in on the left and the midfielder caressed the ball calmly into the net.

But there was a sting in the tail for the hosts as Motherwell drew level in the dying seconds to claim a draw in what was a breathless encounter for both sides.
