VIEWFIELD ROVERS - 0 GLENIFFER THISTLE - 8

Paisley side Gleniffer smashed eight past Viewfield to secure a superb away win.

Viewfield began the better team, with the hosts dominating the game in the opening five minutes.

They continued to impose and pressed high up the park, trying to force their way through which unfortunately resulted in gaps across their back line which allowed Scott Mcalister to spot a great opportunity to counter attack.

He got his head up to play a diagonal through ball which saw Liam Corr run in behind and fire a pinpoint cross for Craig Wilson to get his first goal of the day for the visitors.

The game settled and Gleniffer continued to play some great football in the middle of the park, with good play from Mcalister and Stuart Mackenzie who again found another ball through the

Viewfield defence to find Wilson making a great run off the defender.

He instantly got his head up and cut back to the oncoming JoshMurray to slot home his first of the morning.

Viewfield managed to gain a spell of possession and tried to create a few chances, but unfortunately fell short in the final third and nothing clear cut was produced.

Gleniffer made it 3-0 on the 20th minute after good play by Sean Love. The right back took on his man and, with a bit of luck getting the break of the ball, released Murray to net his second.

Gleniffer made it 4-0 with good work down the left, with Corr finding Connor Mcfadden on the left wing for him to beat his man and fire across to find Murray, who slammed home to complete a first half hat trick.

The second half of the game saw Gleniffer keep their foot on the gas , with Wilson scoring his second of the morning after just five minutes.

After a spill from a corner Wilson was ready to pounce in the six yard box to fire home.

Viewfield were determined to make an impact and get something from the game. They enjoyed some good play in the middle of the park before creating a one vs one against Dillian Alexander.

Luckily for the Paisley side, Alexander got the better of the striker to keep his clean sheet intact.

With 65 minutes gone, Mcfadden broke the offside trap of Viewfield’ s defence to run on and make a tidy finish across the goalkeeper.

It didn’t take long before Wilson completed his hat trick , following Love’s initial saved shot home.

After a few injuries throughout the game, Josh came back on for the final few minutes and he made no mistake when back in the thick of the action. He instantly got involved and made sure he finished off the day with an impressive four goals to his name.
