A picture tells a thousand words...
The first competition of 2020 took place for the Paisley Colour Photographic Club, with many talented photographers throughout the area showcasing their stunning images online.
The virtual event took place via Zoom last Thursday, and was judged by Boyd Meiklejohn of Ayr Photographic Society.
A number of talented photographers took part in The Summer Assignment competition, submitting their images online to be judged.
The overall winner was the club’s newly-elected president Ken Dow, with his image titled Help They’ve Got Me Surrounded from his winning set of four photographs.
Carol Gracie’s photo titled Strawberry and Cream and Leonard Esakowitz’s aerial shot of Victoria Park also received commendations.
The popular club has been running virtually throughout the pandemic, and organisers are encouraged by the turnout as it has been close to the numbers at their physical meetings at the McMaster Centre in Renfrew.
The club has traditionally always welcomed visitors to its weekly meetings for a nominal fee.
With all of this season’s meetings taking place by Zoom, an Eventbrite link has been set up this week to allow anyone to purchase a £3 ticket (including fees) and join the meetings every Thursday evening.
