Arthurlie to issue season ticket refunds to supporters

-

Arthurlie have confirmed they will not be competing in the upcoming West of Scotland League.

‘Lie were set to kick off in Conference A next weekend, but have joined a number of clubs deciding not to compete this season due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The club are now issuing refunds to those supporters, with a lack of fans in the stands a major reason behind the club’s decision to mothball for the upcoming campaign.

A club spokesperson said:“Arthurlie FC has taken the decision to withdraw from the WoSFL for season 2020-21 and now wishes to offer refunds to those supporters who have already paid for their season tickets.

“We would ask tthat they contact the club treasurer, Kenny Hay, directly on 07948383535 to arrange their refund.

“The club also wishes to clarify its position regarding any future annual general meeting.

“This will be arranged at the earliest possible opportunity, in line with Scottish Government guidelines.

“For the avoidance of doubt, full season ticket holders from seasons 2019-20 and 2020-21 will be able to attend this meeting.

“Arthurlie FC would, again, like to thank supporters for their continued backing and understanding in these difficult times.

“Please continue to stay safe.”

Renfrewshire’s other clubs in the West of Scotland League - Neilston, Johnstone Burgh and Renfrew - are all set to continue in the West of Scotland League.

They are due to learn their league make up, opponents and fixtures early next week, with kick off still anticipated to be Saturday, October 24.
