Charity store’s team ready to reopen
Barnardo’s Scotland is looking forward to welcoming customers back to its charity shops in Barrhead and Linwood from Monday.
This is the date in the First Minister’s roadmap for nonessential shops to reopen.
And the charity has a few important announcements of its own.
It has received a constant stream of messages relating to donations – they are delighted to announce that shops started taking donations from yesterday - but stress donations should be delivered to the shops during opening hours and not left at the door, but no need to call prior to visiting.
Donations of spring and summer clothing are needed.
The volunteer portal has reopened, so anyone looking for a volunteer role should visit the charities website or contact their local shop.
New stock has been donated from high street retailers and warehouse brands that have closed during lockdown, so there are many bargains to be had on brand new stock.
And to help customers through the extended cold snap the shops will be reopening with a fantastic 50 per cent sale on all autumn and winter stock.
