Charlotte is Create winner

-

A Linwood teenager has won a top-of-the range tablet after taking part in a charity survey.

Youth arts charity Create Paisley held the survey to find out what young people thought about youth spaces.

And Linwood High student Charlotte Martin, 14, was the lucky winner of the iPad for sharing her views.

Celia Maclean, Create Paisley’s fundraising and marketing manager said: “I am delighted to present Charlotte with her prize and we really appreciate the time taken by her, and everyone else who entered, to complete our community survey about youth spaces.

“Charlotte is one of the young people who regularly attends our Space in Linwood group who meet in Tesco Linwood Cafe weekly to take part in arts, crafts, games and much more.

“We are so grateful to Tesco for supporting us by providing us with a venue for our group and to all the young people who come along each week.

“I hope Charlotte enjoys her new iPad.”

Create Paisley works with young people in Renfrewshire to support good mental health through creativity.

Through a mix of creative workshops and drop in sessions they support young people to develop the skills, support networks and strength they need to succeed and fulfil their ambitions.

Space in Linwood runs on Wednesdays from 3.30pm till 5pm in the Tesco Cafe Linwood.

It’s designed to be a fun and relaxed place for young people aged between 12-18 to share their ideas and get creative.
