Injury woes forHibs

-

A former St Mirren duo are among seven senior players unavailable for Hibs today.

Darren McGregor and Kyle Magennis are both well known to the Paisley club having played with Saints earlier in their career.

Scotland international striker Kevin Nisbet, Christian Doidge and Drey Wright and Demetri Mitchell are all also on the sidelines due to injuries.

Meanwhile central defender Ryan Porteous is suspended, serving the third of his four-game ban.

David Gray is in interim charge of the Easter Road club for the second time this season after the sacking of Shaun Maloney.

Maloney only lasted 19 games, winning six, after replacing former Buddies boss Jack Ross in December. Gray also started that interim spell in charge with a 1-1 draw at the SMiSA Stadium.

Saints manager Stephen Robinson felt Maloney wasn’t given a fair crack of the whip by the Leith club.

He said:“There are two wins between losing your job and being a great manager in this league

“Football has just gone that way. You don’t get time.

“There is no patience. “Everyone wants instant success.”
