New-look H&M store set to open its doors

-

Shoppers have been counting down the days until the new H&M store in Braehead opens its doors.

The clothing giant has collaborated with local signwriters and artists to celebrate the store opening tomorrow.

Signwriter and graphic artist Rachel E Miller will create painted art pieces that will be displayed in-store as well as a live in-store art installation while Liana Mostafa will carry out live-style studio photography, hosting an in-person pottery masterclass with The Craft Pottery Studio, and textile screenprinting on organic tote bags throughout the opening day.

The centre’s existing H&M store will move from its current unit to a new, ground floor space, covering 17,000 sq ft, on a ten-year lease.

Toni Galli, country manager for H&M UK & Ireland, said:“We can’t wait to show our customers a brand-new store in Braehead this month.

“At H&M, we always look to proactively invest and support the local communities where we operate, so by tapping into the fabric of the local area, we hope to achieve this.

“Our aim is to offer our customers a modern and meaningful shopping experience were style, creativity and culture are celebrated, and we are confident that our new Braehead store will offer exactly this.

“We cannot wait to share more details with our customers soon!”

The Braehead store will include H&M’s Garment Collection and Recycling service which allows customers to donate any unwanted clothes and textiles, by any brand, whilst shopping in-store.

All donated items are recycled with none going to landfill.

To encourage customers to use their Garment Collection programme, H&M will offer Conscious Points in addition to a digital voucher.

The H&M garment collecting scheme is just one example of the many projects H&M has implemented to lead the change towards 100 per cent circularity.
