Housing chief’s wellbeing pledge

-

A Linwood-based housing provider has a new supremo who says her aim is to “ensure the wellbeing”of tenants.

Angela Taylor has taken up the role as chief executive of Linstone Housing, which has more than 1,500 homes across Johnstone and Linwood.

And she immediately pledged Linstone would continue to support tenants during the ongoing cost-of-living crisis.

Angela said:“I’m aiming to build on the successes achieved during my predecessor’s tenure while ensuring we never lose sight of our community anchor role and the need to focus strongly on supporting our neighbourhoods.”

During the pandemic Linstone was designated a“community anchor organisation”by the Scottish Government.

It was tasked with distributing £300,000 of funding to individuals and organisations to help deal with the crisis.

Angela (pictured on the right with her team) added:“Now that we face the cost of living crisis we will continue to ensure the wellbeing of Linstone tenants remains a priority.”

Angela comes to Renfrewshire from the Berwickshire Housing Association and succeeds long-serving Adele Fraser who retired after 14 years.

She has worked for a range of housing providers including Edinburgh City Council, and both Grampian and Glasgow housing associations.

Linstone chairperson Jamie Irvine said: “Angela brings huge experience to the role with a proven track record of delivery.

“Of particular note is Angela’s extensive skills in asset management and housing strategy coupled with a deep-rooted commitment to community regeneration forged over many years.”
