A Paisley-based academic is in the running for the Scottish Knowledge Exchange Awards 2023.
University of the West of Scotland Professor Naeem Ramzan has been nominated in the knowledge exchange champion category. Professor Ramzan is an international scientist, engineer and innovator in artificial intelligence and multimedia processing.
The awards are an annual celebration of business-academic partnerships, hosted by Interface – an organisation that connects businesses from all sectors to Scotland’s universities, research institutes and colleges.
The finalists have been chosen by a specially-selected panel of judges who were looking for collaborations that show innovation, impact (societal or economic) and transformation, along with recognising the people contributing to knowledge exchange.
Professor Ramzan supports knowledge exchange projects from grassroots level through to providing strategic insight to industry thought-leaders.
He joins 21 other nominees selected in eight award categories as part of this year’s awards.
