150 days since dad Barry vanished

-

Buddies are being urged to remain vigilant for any signs of missing man Barry McCullagh.

This weekend marked 150 days since Barry vanished, having left the Royal Alexandra Hospital on Wednesday, October 5.

The 41-year-old – who had not been in his right frame of mind at the time of his disappearance – was allowed out of the RAH at 5.20pm to have a cigarette but never returned.

He was last spotted on CCTV walking along Lounsdale Road outside the Lord Lounsdale Pub around 5.33pm.

The dad-of-two from Castlemilk is unfamiliar with the area and there have been no verified sightings of him since October 5 despite police searches and repeated public appeals from his desperate family.

Their appeal was taken up by the Cold Cases and Missing People UK campaign group recently.

Appealing for information on Barry’s whereabouts, the organisation said:“It is totally out of character for Barry not to keep in contact with his family and friends.

“As time passes they are becoming very concerned for his well-being.

“Just two weeks after Barry disappeared, his brother Brian passed away.

“Searches are continuing and officers are being assisted by specialist search advisors to trace him as soon as possible.”

Barry is described as 5 ft 9 ins in height and of medium build with short, black hair.

He was last seen wearing black and navy Lyle and Scott jogging trousers, a black zipped jacket, a navy blue Hugo Boss polo shirt, and silver metallic limited edition Nike 95 trainers.

Anyone with information about Barry should contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting reference number 3910 of October 5.
