CREATE-ing fun for young people at Easter

- CALAM PENGILLY

A youth charity in Paisley has launched a series of activities to keep youngsters engaged and creative this Easter.

CREATE Paisley has revealed their programme of workshops and art activities for young people between the ages of 11-18-years living in Renfrewshire. And those wishing to attend won’t have to spend a penny to participate as all the activities are free to attend.

Those participating will try their hand at a variety of activities, including: air dry ceramics, songwriting workshops, upcycling workshops in partnership with REMODE, ceramic painting, drama workshops, mobile phone filmmaking, and a talent show.

The ‘Spring into CREATE’ programme will run from Monday, April 3 to Thursday, April 6, with sessions being held in Paisley, Linwood and Johnstone.

But CREATE say that there are limited places available, and so they advice people to register as soon as possible on their website at createpaisley.org.uk

Lisa Doherty, CREATE’s youth work manager said: “CREATE Paisley is delighted to be launching this exciting Easter programme of free creative arts workshops for the young people of Renfrewshire.

“We hope to attract new young people as well as providing some amazing new creative experiences for the young people we already engage with.

“Everyone is welcome to register for our activities but we would urge you to sign up as soon as possible as spaces are limited.

“Young people can attend as many or few sessions as they want.”

CREATE Paisley provides free creative opportunities, youth drop-ins, school outreach sessions, arts workshops and holiday programmes across Renfrewshire.
