Best Printer Manufacturer Brother

HIGHLY COMMENDED Epson

-

Brother is making a habit of winning our Best Printer Manufacturer title, with reader s commending its reliability and pricing. “Incredibly good value,” wrote Ann Marie Hood. This was echoed by fan David John Fisher : “This is my third Brother laser printer and I found the setup and application work very easily, considering it offers a variety of connections: USB, Wi-Fi, Air Print and network .” New-convert Sue Moore was also satisfied with a move to a Brother machine: “After years of cheap HP DeskJets that seem to be getting progressively poorer, I took the plunge and spent a lot more and it’s proved well worth it.” Alan Jacobs agreed: “I wish I’d brought a laser before instead of numerous short-lived inkjets.” The biggest story this year is undoubtedly the meteoric rise of Epson from six thin 2019 to second in 2020. Readers loved the company’ s quality, but were less taken with the price of refills. “Epson is my preferred manufacturer for printers: the machines are always good value and quality. The original ink cartridges can be expensive, but aren’ t they all ?!” wrote Steve Mordey. Lorna Gibbon felt the same way :“I like Epson printers in general. They produce good quality photo prints, although the cost of their own-brand ink is pretty diabolical – but then so are most of the main manufacturers. I have always had Epsons, apart from my very first printer.”

But there’ s a potential solution in the form of the firm’s EcoTank range, as Steven Nutt explained :“I brought an Epson EcoTank ET -2750 at the start of lockdown homeschooling and it’s been 200% worth it. The ink is only down by a quarter, while the old printer would have required multiple refill s.”
