5 steps to take right now

-

We asked Natassia Allery, sales manager at 3CX, to provide five steps to turn a website into a powerful sales tool.

STEP 1 Sell the value of your product

Your messaging needs to be clear: who are your target customers? What does your product do? How does your product or service solve customers’ problems? How does it beat the competition? Keep your messaging short and concise.

STEP 2 Live Chat

Let’s be clear, your website needs live chat – even if you don’t plan on using it as a direct sales tool. Not only can you use it to engage website visitors, but it also boosts customer satisfaction by giving them a direct line to customer services. Studies show that customers gain the most satisfaction through live chat compared with phone calls and email.

STEP 3 Call to actions

Add call to actions to all of your pages, make them specific to certain features and hit your customers’ pain points. Make it easy to sign up, purchase and ask for information, and leads will soar.

STEP 4 Capture leads

Most people won’t buy on the first visit. You need to capture their details so that you can stay in touch, keep marketing your product or service, and convert the lead into a customer. Studies suggest that around 15% of leads turn into a sale.

STEP 5 Think about UX

Your website needs to be responsive, easy to navigate and should give confidence to the user. People demand timely information and communication; offer your customers simple ways to get in touch, such as live chat with easy elevation to a call or screen sharing.
