Let’s get the bidding started

-

This year, Perth Silent Auction is once again raising money for the Cornhill Macmillan Centre at Perth Royal Infirmary and a host of smaller charities in Perth and beyond.

The Big County’s favourite fundraiser which has been running since 2006 and raised more than £250,000 - is a joint effort between the Rotary Club of Perth and the Perthshire Advertiser.

This year, we have revamped our website to make it even more user-friendly for smart phones and tablets.

Just log on to www.perthsilentauction. co.uk and follow the simple instruction on the home page to register.

And once registered, PA readers can check out the fantastic range of lots donated by hundreds of generous local businesses.

Deputy Editor of the Perthshire Advertiser Iain Howie, said:“Since the Silent Auction started in 2006, we’ve raised more than £250,000 for good causes throughout Perth and Kinross and further afield.

“I would encourage PA readers to log on to www.perthsilentauction.co.uk and check out the full list of lots.”

David Lindsay, Silent Auction coordinator, said:“We are delighted to be back again. We aim to give donors a great platform for their business on the Silent Auction website, while at the same time offering buyers the opportunity to buy Christmas gifts, one-off experiences, and many other fantastic items.

“The fact that all money received will go to deserving local charities makes it even more worthwhile.”

Perth’s Silent Auction has been supporting the work of PRI’s Cornhill Macmillan Centre since it opened its doors in 2009.

The £3.75 million centre – a joint partnership between Macmillan Cancer Support and NHS Tayside – delivers comprehensive palliative care for inpatients with cancer and other life-limiting conditions, including symptom control, rehabilitation and end-of-life care as well as offering support to families and carers.

This year’s Silent Auction finishes on Saturday, December 3, 2016. Marc Watson-Gray, Alison Lowson, Rotarians Bill Duncan, David Lindsay, Iain McLean, David Robb and Jane Coulson
