Competition isjustthe businessfor women
Scotland’s only pitch competition for business women is inviting Big County female entrepreneurs in Perth and Kinross to put themselves and their businesses forward.
The 2017 AccelerateHER Awards is open to entrepreneurial women-led businesses in Scotland, with the entry deadline set for January 31.
The awards, an initiative from business angel group Investing Women, provide a fantastic opportunity for aspiring businesswomen to showcase their companies before an audience, which includes angel investors, commercial advisers and fellow entrepreneurs.
At least two finalists will be sent on a trip to California next April, to take part in a summit of investors in San Francisco.
The winners will also work with global business figure Susan Preston and Gwen Edwards, a key player in Silicon Valley.
Entrants will initially be asked to submit a video pitch via the Investing Women’s website outlining their business, its ambitions, growth plans and investor potential.
A shortlist of 12 entrants will be asked to present to a panel at the end of February and based on that, six participants will be invited to the Investing Women Ambition and Growth conference in Edinburgh on March 9.
