Dunning Bowling Club The lotto numbers this week were 2, 4 9, 11. There were no winners. Next week’s prize money is £2000. Church A ladies night was held in Dunning’s local church hall raising funds for Aberuthven and Dunning Parish church of Scotland. The fashion was supplied by Matleen and Adel of Integro Image showing a fabulous ollection of clothing by Captain Tortue chic French fashion at affordable prices in size 6 to 22. The audience were refreshed with mocktails and the models for the night were five local ladies. The event raised in excess of £300. Second Sunday in Advent Church service at 11am. Fairtrade stall available after the service. Messy Church meets at 4.30pm. Come and join us in Dunning Church Hall on Saturday, December 10 from 10 - noon - mulled wine, mince pies and merriment.

Errol Pensioners Our Christmas bingo tea will be held in Errol Village Hall on Thursday, December 15, at 7.30pm. Everyone of all ages most welcome. Please note tickets for the Annual Party on January 27, 2017 will be on sale on the night. Christmas lights These are to be switched on Sunday. Mr G is going to play Christmas records from 6pm, the lights will be switched on at 6.30pm, thereafter tea, coffee and mince pies at the Masonic lodge, everyone welcome.

GDIB Weather permitting, we are hoping to have a go at some more winter jobs for the village: Saturday, December 3, 1 - 3pm. Meet at Greenbank Road entrance. There are still some bulbs to be planted, a lot of shrubs to go into the ground at the south verge and the Winter Garden still needs a lot of attention. II will be based near the entrance on Greenbank Road which is where the winter garden is. The more the merrier! Remember it is your village too. Donations for the Christmas stall and the cake and candy can be brought on the day. December 9: Glenfarg Community Cinema will be showing ‘Eddie The Eagle’. The true story about the man who captured the hearts of a nation. £5 admission, tickets are available from the shop. Show starts at 7.30pm. December 17: Russell, Mark and Joe would like to invite you to join them in celebratin­g their 6th birthday in Glenfarg. All the usual fun with a full bar, great music and Christmas treats. Some tickets still available from the shop £2.50 each. December 23: Tim and Cedric are hosting a Christmas Friday Pub and Games night, Friday December 23, 5.30 till 11.30. Church Sunday’s service was the first Sunday in Advent and was conducted by Rev Peggy Ewart-Roberts. The organist was Janet Coyle. Janet also lit the first Advent candle, the Candle of Hope. Bible readings from Matthew ch 24 v 36-44 and Romans ch 13, v 11-14 were by Mike Service.
