Stamp of approval for postal workers
Perth and Kinross residents will get more chances to pick up their missed deliveries for Christmas.
The Royal Mail is extending opening at sorting offices for parcels.
Sites such as Dunblane, for residents in parts of Strathallan and Perth, will be open for longer.
Those missing collections will be given notice which will also contain the seasonal opening hours.
Customers are also being reminded to allow good time for sending items, from cards to parcels, to loved ones.
The service’s last recommended posting dates are: Tuesday, December 20 for second class mail, Wednesday, December 21 for first class mail, Thursday, December 22 for Special Delivery and Friday, December 23 for Special Delivery Saturday Guaranteed.
Items going internationally have between now and Saturday, December 17, for posting.
Those sending items to Africa and the Middle East should have had them on their way by last Saturday and items off to Cyprus and the Far East, Japan and Eastern Europe have till tomorrow.
Last posting for Belgium, France, Republic of Ireland and Luxembourg is December 17.

MSPs Murdo Fraser andLiz Smith with postal workers facing a busy run-up to Christmas hand the operation of delivering Christmas post and to pass on season’s greetings to its hardworking staff.
Liz Smith MSP said: “At no other time is the hard work and dedication of postmen and women clearer than during the festive period.”
Murdo Fraser MSP added: “I thank them for the extraordinary lengths they go to ensure Christmas cards and presents are delivered to loved ones on time, and for all they do year-round.”
Stuart Tonner, Royal Mail Delivery Office Manager, said: “It was a pleasure to show Ms Smith and Mr Fraser our Christmas operation and to hear their kind words of encouragement and support.”
