Keep your dogs under control near livestock

●Following further incidents of sheep worrying and being injured by dogs I would like to remind all dog owners that they have a duty and responsibi­lity to ensure their pet is under control at all times, especially when they are near livestock.

The National Sheep Associatio­n provides some good advice on its website for dog owners.

●On Friday, December 23, an electric fence was found to have been cut near Blaeberry Toll, Dunning.

●Between 22 and December 24 an attempt was made to break into a Ford Transit van in Cairnie Road, St Madoes.

●A fire was deliberate­ly set at a building site on Jeanfield Road, Perth near to its junction with Letham Road. This site was also targeted by a thief about two weeks ago.

●A number of particulat­e filters were stolen from Mercedes vans parked at John R Weirs, Ruthvenfie­ld Road, Perth between December 19 and 20.

●About 11.30pm on Christmas night a thief was disturbed at a property in Oakbank Road, Perth and a short time later at a property in Viewlands Road West, Perth.

●A silver Mercedes car was damaged in Duneaves Place, Perth about 3.50am on Saturday, December 24. In an unrelated incident a Mercedes parked in Hospital Street, Perth was damaged when a window was smashed between Friday 23 and Saturday, December 24.

●A blue Ford Focus has its paintwork damaged while it was parked at Tesco, Crieff Road, Perth between 2.30pm and 3pm on Saturday, December 24.

●About 1.25am on Christmas morning a glass door pane was smashed at A1 Pizza Plus, County Place, Perth.

●Overnight on Christmas into Boxing Day a trampoline was vandalised in McCallum Court, Perth.

●Between 3pm and 8pm on Christmas Day the outside wall of the Abbotsford Lounge, Abbott Street, Perth was vandalised when it was graffitied with spray paint.

●A wall in Catmoor Square,

Police Scotland officers out on the streets of Perth during the festive period Scone was also damaged with graffiti between December 26 and 27.

●A green Jaguar motor car parked on the Crieff Road, Perth had a window damaged between Friday 23 and Tuesday, December 27.

●About 11pm on Monday, December 26 a blue Nissan Tiida motor car parked in Duncansby Way, Perth was vandalised and set on fire. About 2pm on Wednesday, December 28, a blue Vauxhall Vectra parked on Dunkeld Road, Perth was vandalised and set on fire. Police are following positive lines of enquiry and appealing for witnesses to come forward.
