Perthshire make finals
Perthshire had four matches in the cup qualifier through in Dundee on Sunday.
In the first match against Grove Menzieshill, Shire created a few early chances but were unable to find a breakthrough.
Grove Menzieshill were more clinical and won 4-0.
In the second match, Perthshire faced Strathallan and an early goal from L Pyke proved to be decisive. Perthshire dominated but were unable to score any more goals.
Dundee Wanderers provided the opposition in the third match.
Perthshire knew a win was essential for qualification and made a positive start, with L Pyke giving them the lead.
With the team putting in their best performance of the day, further goals from L Pkye, J Stephen (2) and J Johnston (2), saw Perthshire win 6-1.
A win in the final match versus Monarchs would secure qualification.
Shire scored an early goal through J Stephen and a second strike from Stpehhen plus one from T Adams resulted in a 3-0 victory.
Perthshire now qualify for the U18 Indoor Cup Finals Day which takes place on Sunday at Bell’s Sports Centre.
The team is scheduled to play in a pool with Watsonians, Aberdeen Grammar and Western Wildcats.
Elsewhere, the Men’s and Ladies teams return to National Indoor League action this weekend.
In the men’s league, the first and second teams face Falkirk GHG 1s at 9.55am and MJV Dundee Wanderers 1s at 1.35pm at DISC.
The Ladies first team return the Forthbank on Sunday, playing Kelburne Ladies 2s at 12.05pm and Granite City Wanderers 1s at 2.50pm.
