Kinnoull eager for more action

Perth men up for Kirrie challenge

-

Kinnoull v Kirrie Thistle Thistle this weekend.

Kinnoull can be pleased with their work so far this season, having moved their way to fourth in the standings, only five points from the summit of the table and leaders Scone Thistle.

Cameron told the Perthshire Advertiser: “After the last few weeks of games being off and then last week’s abandoned match the boys are desperate to play.

“They have trained very well this week and are looking forward to pitting their wits against the promotion favourites.

“Kirriemuir have had a great season so far and are odds-on favourites to win the league.

“But we know, as we proved earlier in the season, that we can match them.We will be trying our upmost to do so once again.”

The lay-off from action has its positives as it means the Perth side will head into this home clash with a strong squad.

And those on the comeback from injury have also benefited.

Cameron said: “We should have the same squad of 18 as last week with no new injury worries, other than long-term Jordan Davidson who has a knee problem and Liam Woolley but he has resumed training this week.”

Kick-off at Perth’s Tulloch Park on Saturday afternoon is at 2.30pm.
