Team Tory signal their aim for council control

-

The Scottish Conservatives have signalled their intent ahead of the local government elections with at least one candidate standing in each Perth and Kinross ward.

Current councillors and MSPs were joined by Scottish leader Ruth Davidson to launch the party’s campaign for wards in the area during a visit to Abernethy.

Ms Davidson said: “The Scottish Conservatives are working hard across Perth and Kinross at these local elections.

“Our team of local candidates are talented and hardworking and are committed to winning control of Perth and Kinross Council.

“Kathleen Baird’s by-election win in Almond and Earn last year gave the party momentum right across the region and the Scottish Conservatives are the only party able to take the fight to the SNP.”
