It is high time that Nicola Sturgeon grew out of her teenage obsession with Mel Gibson and his ”Braveheart” rubbish and faced the actual facts as they exist today.
Scotland is in no position to “go it alone”, which is a more accurate description than “Scottish independence” when even she concedes that, if her campaign succeeds, we will be outside both the United Kingdom and the European Union (in other words, entirely on our own in the world) the former permanently and the latter for at least an indefinite period.
After ten years of SNP rule we have a £15 billion financial deficit (a far, far greater proportion of gross domestic product than is acceptable to the European Union) and serious problems in her all-Scotland police force (a change which unnecessarily loses us £80 million a year in VAT).
