Tablet talent on the rise at primary

Pupils at St Madoes Primary School are thanking four generous local businesses which have contribute­d to their fundraisin­g efforts to purchase iPads.

The addition of seven devices, one for each class at the Carse of Gowrie school, allows the children to enhance their digital literacy and increases the ease with which pupils can create animations, access books, compose music and invent.

Following an outreach to local businesses, the parent council received funds from GS Brown, Stewarts of Tayside, McNiven Constructi­on and Glendoick Garden Centre enabling the school to purchase two of the devices which will prove to be invaluable to the children’s learning journey.

St Madoes School Parent Council had successful­ly raised funds for two iPad Mini 4 and the school budget allowed for another three.

“There is so much our pupils will gain from using this technology and we are very excited to progress with this initiative.

“We are hoping to continue to increase the number of iPads the school has access to and very much hope that we can encourage more benefactor­s.”
