Good times continue for Perthshire

-

Perthshire Hockey Club’s men’s first team has consolidated their lead at the top of the National League Division 3.

And they achieved that feat in style by recording a convincing 4-1 victory away at Aberdeen University men’s first team.

Perth goals from C Berry, M Berry, M Czub and J Stephen inflicted the damage on the students, whose score was a late consolation.

Shire now sit three points clear at the summit of the table with only two more matches remaining.

The positive weekend results were continued by Perthshire men’s second squad, who got the better of Dundee Wanderers men’s third team 3-1.

It was the men from the City of Discovery who opened the scoring with a thunderous volley. But Perth were soon the ones discovering their true form.

A reverse shot from K McDougall and then a neat finish from Ru Fleming gave Shire a half time advantage. Ro Fleming would tuck away a third after the break to secure the points.
