Twenty-two teams from Perthshire Solicitors Property Centre (PSPC) raised over £600 for Hospital Radio Perth during their annual quiz.

For the 16th year running, solicitors, estate agents, surveyors and the PSPC ladies once again competed on a host of general knowledge topics at the Salutation Hotel in Perth.

The winning team was Miller Hendry, with the Hospital Radio team coming second and Watson & Lyall Bowie coming third.

John Watson, chairman of Hospital Radio Perth and quizmaster, said: “The event was the most successful for some years with a full venue of teams taking part. As always, competition was keen and good-natured and we offer our warm congratulations to the winning Miller Hendry team.

“We are delighted to report that, after all expenses, the event raised £638 for Hospital Radio Perth.

“A magnificent sum was raised, thanks in the main to the generosity of those who attend and the assistance that we get from PSPC.“

PSPC manager Anne Begg added: “We always have a great night at the annual Hospital Radio quiz and are delighted to hear that the funds raised will not only help safeguard its future but help modernise the station.

“It was also heartening to see such a healthy turnout of competitors this year and we thank all of our member firms who took time out of their busy lives to attend and raise funds for a local charity which may well make a difference to their lives one day, or someone in their family.”

The PSPC quiz funds will help keep the award-winning station broadcasting 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to the patients of Perth Royal Infirmary.
