Charities championed by Sarah
A fourth and female partner has been appointed to an established Pitlochry law firm.
The partners of J&H Mitchell WS – Colin Liddell, Alan Innes and Paul Keith – recently announced the appointment of Sarah Rennie as a partner in the firm with effect from April 1.
Sarah is only the eleventh partner since the firm’s establishment in Pitlochry in 1836.
She joined the firm in 2010 as a trainee solicitor, became qualified as a solicitor and has since been an associate and senior associate.
She is described as an “integral” part of the J &H Mitchell Charities Team and has built up a significant portfolio of charity clients and community organisations, providing advice and assistance to them on a wide range of topics, and also providing training to charity trustees on request.
The new partner is herself a trustee of two charities, Birnam Arts and the Pettigrew Charitable Trust.
Sarah commented: “I am delighted to become a Partner of J &H Mitchell WS. Sarah Rennie formally took up her post at Pitlochry firm J&H Mitchell WS on Saturday
“It is a pleasure and an honour to become an important part of a forwardthinking legal practice, with traditional values and a personal approach to client care.
“I thrive on working
with individuals and organisations, in particular charities and community bodies, whose passion for a cause I often find infectious.
“I take a great deal of satisfaction in helping organisations to achieve their
goals, operate efficiently and adopt good governance.
“It is great to see organisations that I have been involved with evolve.”
Senior partner, Colin Liddell, said: “Adding Sarah to our team of partners in
Pitlochry and Aberfeldy underpins the charity side of our business in particular, but she is able to give advice to clients on a range of topics and complements the existing team well.”
