Off as part of Union

both, but, as far as I can see, Scotland is far better off and will continue to be so as an integral part of the UK than it would be as an independent country.

My mind was made up long before any referendum campaigns. I am so opposed to the idea of independence that I should like to see the Scottish and Welsh, if not the Northern Irish, assemblies dissolved. I regard them all as a waste of space, time and money.

Just think how many roads could be properly maintained with the money wasted on Nicola Sturgeon and her cronies! All the UK needs is one parliament and one government in London – the others are quite definitely surplus to requirements.

If the elderly did indeed help the no campaign win, why should this be regarded as harming the next generation?

To my mind, our younger generation – and some not so young, including our own Nicola – have been so badly educated over the past half century that they really do not have a clue about their own history.

Many of their warped ideas have been hand-fed to them by the writers of ‘Flower of Scotland’ and ‘Braveheart’.

They have learned little about the many events in our history which contradict the anti-English propaganda pouring forth from the vituperative pens of the Scottish Nationalists.

They have been taught little about the many things which unite the British nation I voted no in the last independence referendum and I shall be voting no again if and when the next referendum is held.

I shall be doing so because I know it is better for all Scots to remain in the UK, not just the oldies, but all of us, and especially the young. We must think of their future and for us to vote for independence would be the worst thing we ever did for old and young alike.
