MY REGRETS OVER BUST-UP

Week out was worst period of Foster’s career

- Matthew Gallagher

Richard Foster St Johnstone defender Richard Foster has spoken of his regret over the on-field bust-up with team-mate Danny Swanson.

Both players were sent off following the altercation which took place at Hamilton’s Superseal Stadium at the beginning of the month.

The Perth pair were temporarily suspended by the club pending a full investigation and Foster admits that week was the worst of his career.

“You sit on your own and think you could have thrown it all away. It does hurt. Anyone thinking that week I had off was easy is way wrong. It was the worst period of my career.

“But you get through it and come out stronger at the other side. I know it won’t happen again in any situation I am involved in.

“I have learned from my mistake and will keep a lid on it in future.”

Football is a heated game and Foster is well aware of that. But he knows there is an example to be set to future generations. The full-back said: “Danny
