GRANT LAING STRATHTAY

As a current SNP councillor representing Strathtay Ward I am delighted to be selected to stand again for this beautiful and unique part of Perthshire.

Having lived here all my life I have a clear understanding of the matters that are of real importance around this ward. My contribution has been and will continue to be that local voices are heard and local solutions are implemented. I am proud to have been a strong voice for rural Perthshire within the council.

Sport, recreation and opportunities for exercise for young and old alike are very important to me. I am very happy to have been involved with the drive to re-develop Blairgowrie Recreation Centre, the new PH20 Sport and Swimming Centre project in Perth and the moves towards a community and sports hub in Stanley.

With Stanley and Glendelvine Schools facing a review within the next two years, I can guarantee that I will be at the forefront of the consultation process alongside parents and pupils using my vast local knowledge in this area to get the best results for our children and their schools.

I wholeheartedly wish to serve Strathtay Ward again.
