Thornton v Kinnoull

Kinnoull manager Alan Cameron believes this weekend’s opponents Thornton Hibs are the best side his squad have faced off against in the North Division this season.

The men from Fife inflicted a 4-1 defeat on Noull at Tulloch Park in a fixture at the end of last year and now sit level on points with top of the table Kirrie Thistle.

Cameron will be urging his Perth players to make life difficult for their hosts in a bid to avoid a similar outcome.

“This Saturday we face an extremely difficult task in travelling to play Thornton,” he told the Perthshire Advertiser.

“In my opinion, they are the best side we have faced this season and gave us a lesson when they beat us at Tulloch Park earlier in the season.

“Hopefully on Saturday afternoon we can improve on that performance and give a better account of ourselves.”

Kinnoull head into the game on the back of a battling 4-1 Perthshire derby victory over Coupar Angus.

Cameron added: “I felt that we deserved to win the match, although it took us until the second half before we managed to turn our possession into goals.”

Noull have no fresh injury concerns for the game which kicks-off at Thornton’s Memorial Park at 2.30pm.
