Search is on for Peter Pan stars

Swashbuckl­ing young stars are being asked to sign up for key roles in a forthcomin­g production of Peter Pan Jr.

Horsecross Arts is looking to hook in talented youngsters for the Summer School show.

Boys and girls aged 10 to 18 who are lost for something to do in the school holidays can apply to audition for parts, including Peter Pan, Wendy, Tinkerbell, Captain Hook, Smee, the crocodile, lost boys, pirates and other lead roles once they have booked their place on the two-week Summer School from Monday 3 to Saturday, July 15.

The performanc­e of Peter Pan Jr will take place in Perth Concert Hall’s Gannochy auditorium at the end of the school.

Peter Pan Jr Summer School in Perth Concert Hall’s Norie-Miller Studio is open to anyone aged five to 18 with five to nine-year-olds joining the senior group for the second week of the process. No experience is necessary to join the cast, team of profession­al theatre-makers and technical staff to create a musical in two weeks.

Applicatio­ns to audition and bookings for Peter Pan Jr Summer School and performanc­e are open now. Once participan­ts have booked the Summer School, an audition place can be requested by emailing joannegree­r@horsecross. co.uk. Auditions will take place week commencing Monday, May 29.

Prices for the summer school are £100 for the junior age group week and £150 for the seniors group.
